As the journey of college was winding down and this new adventure of music was beginning to become my life, I found this crazy voice from within starting to get louder and more dominate in my life. This voice was saying things like, "Go for it!" and "I believe in you!" This was something I didn't experience before. Something that a lot of people wouldn't have guessed back in my high school, and some of my college years, was that I was actually extremely anxiety driven. Which I loved to hide behind a fake smile. (It wasn't always fake, I did enjoy life quite a bit from the get go.) SO, of course when these words of positivity and encouragement started to come from within, I listened very closely to what this voice had to say.
This voice pushed me towards a path I never would have seen before. In the last couple days in Idaho, I begin to realize what was about to happen as I moved away from my best friends and family, who played a huge role on who I was. I relied HEAVILY on those who loved me. I realized that I was going to have a whole new start with this new person I was slowly becoming. I then was given some of the best advice I could have gotten. My best friend Jason encouraged me to talk to his cousin, Sydney who then graciously gave me a piece of her life and way of life.
I wanted to start to meditate, read, listen to podcasts, and just discover. This voice within really wanted me to gain more knowledge on the things that were within me and why the hell I am on this planet. The first thing I did, after unpacking in Colorado, was watch the movie Sydney recommended to me, The Secret. Safe to say, this changed the path of my life in the most beautiful way.(If you haven't seen it, it's on Netflix. PLEASE watch it.) After I gained this new knowledge, I began to wake up earlier and earlier everyday so I could work on myself. This morphed into a routine that took around 2 hours every morning. Here is a rough timeline of my mornings that you are welcome to try out if you'd like:
6:00am: Wake up and immediately smile and say "thank you"
6:01-6:25: Yoga
6:25-7:00: Meditate/mini workout
7:01-7:30: Mirror work, shower, breakfast
7:31- 7:45: In Depth journal with I am affirmations and such. and listen to cheesy motivational video's. (They get me going!)
7:45- 8:00: Go to vision board and vision the success I want in my life. ( I would do this to where there were times I would cry because it felt so real. A phenomenon I can't explain.)
8:01- whenever: Read, make music, listen to podcasts. Creative time.
I did this routine everyday for two months. This changed my way of thinking and just way of life. It's so crazy what happened during this time. I ended up going to two festivals for free, driving across the states , meeting some big people in the music scene, and just watching manifestation happen right in front of my eyes. Life has become an amazing journey that I have been able to form with my own will power. Yes, I know what you are thinking, "oh god, John, you are losing it. All that Colorado weed is making you crazy!" Now, this could be true but I feel more awake then I have ever been! I love my life! Manifestation has showed me that if you show gratitude and love to the world you will receive it back, 10 fold. Which finally puts us to the title of this article:
#Ask.#Believe.#Receive.
This is what I live by. My motto of life I guess you could say. This motto has lead to some of the craziest's experiences. The best one was probably when I found myself backstage at Imagine Music Festival, in Atlanta, Georgia while Oliver Heldens was closing the festival about 15 yards away from me. People were passing around champagne in celebration of throwing another great festival. Meeting the owners of the festival, a few smaller artists, and just having some crazy conversations with people who have made it in the industry. (Sorry, had to toot my own horn for that one.) This all happened because of my new motto. This is all based from the Las of Attraction which is backed by Quantum Physics. No, I don't understand quantum physics but I trust it. This motto drives you to surround yourself with the opportunities you need to live the life you want. The most important part of the law of attraction though, as it is with any belief system, is you have to believe. If you don't believe then it doesn't exist. Trust me, it was really hard for me to actually believe this worked. I thought it was pretty far out there but after a couple weeks of putting my all into this and not holding back, is when I noticed crazy things happening in my life.
Ask. Believe. Receive. If you want it, ask for it, believe you'll get it, and know you'll receive it. If you can get yourself to this point, you can turn your controller to life on, and start to play.
With all my heart,
Black Wolf

P.S. Learn to love yourself. You really are the only one that knows what makes your heart warm. :)
